This chapter shows an overview of the LEDs and connections on the router.

  • Used to connect the DSL WAN line

7RESET button
  • This button is used to factory reset the router.
  • Resetting the router will interrupt services and ZTP process is needed again. Therefore be careful if you decide to press this button!
  • To reset and restore the FACTORY settings hold down the button for at least 30 seconds.
8Console interface
9LAN interfaces: eight GE electrical interfaces
  • GE0 is also the management port used for Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) during the installation phase.
  • GE6 and GE7 are reserved to be used for the sync link in case of EC-XL with sync link.
10WAN interfaces: two GE combo interfaces
  • A GE combo interface consists of an optical Ethernet interface and an electrical Ethernet interface on the panel. The two interfaces have only one internal forwarding interface. When either of the Ethernet interfaces is working, the other interface is shut down.
  • GE8 can be used as optical LAN port when not in use as WAN port for Application Based Routing or Mobile Backup connectivity.
  • GE9 is used for WAN Fiber connectivity.
