Structure and connections

Interface(s) numberDescriptionNote
1Management GE Interface
  • Connector type RJ-45
  • This interface must be used for the Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) process during the installation.
2WAN/LAN interfaces: fourteen 10GE optical interfaces.
  • Connector type LC/PC
  • 10G or GE optical modules (SFP+ or SFP) can be inserted into these fourteen optical interfaces.
  • Interfaces 12 and 13 cannot be used as LAN-Interfaces!
  • Interface 12 is reserved for ABR (in case of ABR bandwidths greater than 1 Gbit/s)
  • Interface 13 is used as WAN-Uplink
  • Interfaces 8 and 9 can be used as link aggregation ports (LAG)
  • Interfaces 10 and 11 are reserved to be used for the sync link in case of EC-XL with sync link
3USB 2.0 Interface (not in use)
4LAN interfaces: ten Gigabyte Ethernet electrical interfaces
  • Connector type RJ-45
  • Port GE9 is reserved for use as WAN port for ABR (Application Based routing) or Mobile Backup.
