Configure VRRP

  • The VRRP configuration is a sub-configuration of the VLAN configuration.
  • It can be found under Locations > VLANs.
  • VRRP can be configured with IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.

Configuration

Activate VRRP and configure the following parameters:

  • VRRP ID: The VRRP ID is used to identify and distinguish between different Virtual Router groups on a network.
  • VRRP IP: The virtual IP address shared between the VRRP neighbors.
  • CPE 1 preempt delay: The preempt delay is a configured time interval that postpones the takeover of the master role by a higher-priority VRRP router after it becomes available.
  • CPE 1 priority: The router with the highest priority assumes the master role.
  • CPE 1 WAN interface tracking: If the WAN interface is down, the CPE 1 priority is reduced by the configured value.
note

To configure VRRP with an IPv6 address, IPv6 must be enabled and configured on the corresponding VLAN. For more information, see Configure IPv6 on a VLAN.
