Radius configuration on WLAN Access Points
-
How to get into the ordering process: Order Management
-
Standard IEEE 802.1X provides you with a general method for authentication and authorisation in IEEE 802 networks.
-
The prerequisite for this configuration is the:
-
To activate 802.1X on an access point, you must first create a WLAN and assign it to a group.
-
WPA2-ENT is mandatory as encryption for 802.1X.
-
If the encryption of a WLAN is changed (e.g. from WPA2 to WPA2-ENT), the WLAN must be deleted and created again with the required encryption.
-
Please go to locations > Access points you need to configure the defined WLAN broadcast SSID, and the primary and (if applicable) secondary Radius server. Registrate Radius server in the Dashboard
-
Also here you can overwrite the password (shared key) for this WLAN broadcast SSID, following the same procedure as for a LAN switch.
- Select the corresponding location
- Switch to the Access Points tab
- Add the WLAN broadcast
Complete configuration:
- All configurations are not actively written to the network components until you have sent the shopping cart.
- You can do this after each step or (recommended) only after several steps.
