Configuring WLAN on Centro Business

  • You can access the WLAN configuration on the Centro Business via locations > Centro Business > WLAN

Note​

  • The WLAN on the Centro Business is not part of the commercial LAN service, but part of the basic service.
  • In Combine frequencies, the WLAN configuration is only available once for the two frequencies.
  • In separate mode, there is a separate WLAN configuration for each frequency.
  • At each location you can configure two WLANs in 2.4GHz and two in the 5GHz band on the Centro Business CPE.
  • You can combine the frequencies, then the same SSID is available in both the 2.4GHz band and the 5GHz band.
  • However, you can only configure two WLAN SSIDs.
  • The SSID on the Centro Business CPE must not be chosen the same as a globally defined SSID from the LAN service, as these can interfere with each other.
  • If you select hidden when creating an SSID, it will not be displayed in the WLAN search and the connection must be created manually.
  • Normally, a created SSID is broadcast on all access points at a location.
  • If Secret is clicked, you can select whether an SSID is to be broadcast for each access point.

Criteria for Wi-Fi password:

  • At least 10 characters longu
  • At least one capital letter
  • At least one lowercase letter
  • At least one number
  • At least one special character. Allowed special characters on the Centro Business CPE: @ = + -" * / \ ( ) [ ] # % & ? ! €. : , ; $
