Confiugre Radius on LAN Switches

  1. Select the relevant location
  2. In the Switch menu item, you can activate 802.1X now
    • You can also integrate the primary and secondary Radius server
    • The secondary Radius server is optional

Assign LAN ports


  • As soon as you have activated 802.1X and entered a Radius server, the Dynamic group appears and you can assign the LAN ports to this group
  • If you want to change the primary or secondary Radius server, you must disable 802.1X, submit the order and reset 802.1X Note: If you click on the Dynamic group, you can select the corresponding ports on the switch (multiple selection possible)

  2. Select the desired ports with Dynamic

RADIUS Shared Key override


  • If you want to assign the Radius client switch a separate password (shared key), you can do this under RADIUS Shared Key override.
  • You must also configure this in the Radius server.
  1. Click on Radius Shared Key override:

  • Under Overview in the Settings > RADIUS Server menu item, you see all the switches connected on the Radius server, including passwords and location address.
  • Here, you also see whether the password was overridden.

  • All configurations are not actively written to the network components until you have sent the shopping cart.
  • You can do this after each step or (recommended) only after several steps.
