Configure Radius on Switches and access points

Configure 802.1X on switches and access points in the Enterprise Connect Dashboard application.

On switches​

  1. Configure Radius server according to instructions
  2. Open the “Enterprise Connect Dashboard” application in My Swisscom Business
  3. Under «Start with an agreement» select the desired
  4. Under «Your Services» select «Network Services»
  5. Click on «Locations» and the corresponding location
  6. Click on «Switches» and the corresponding switch
  7. Enable «802.1X on» and select «Primary RADIUS Server»
  8. Confirm with «check mark»
  9. Click on the corresponding port
  10. Under «Logical Configuration» select «Authentication» and click «Confirm»
  11. Click on «Save»
  12. Click on the «leaf symbol» at the top
  13. Follow the further ordering steps

On access points​

  1. Configure Radius server according to instructions
  2. Create and assign WLAN template according to instructions
  3. Create WLAN according to instructions
  4. Open the “Enterprise Connect Dashboard” application in My Swisscom Business
  5. Under «Start with an agreement» select the desired
  6. Under «Your Services» select «Network Services»
  7. Click on «Locations» and the corresponding location
  8. Click on «Access Points»
  9. Click on the plus symbol under “WLAN broadcast”
  10. Fill in the fields «WLAN» «VLAN tag» and confirm with «check mark»
  11. Click on «Save»
  12. Click on the «leaf symbol» at the top
  13. Follow the further ordering steps

A notice:​

The IEEE 802.1X standard provides a general method for authentication and authorization in IEEE 802 networks. For «802.1X» on Aurba access points, select the WLAN encryption «WPA2_ENT».
